Privacy Policy

BrainDock is a private personal organiser. Each installation is used by a single named person, and access is restricted to one pre-authorised Google account. It is not a public service and does not accept general sign-ups.

What is stored

Only what you enter into the app yourself:

• Tasks, projects, notes, bookmarks and calendar entries you create
• Health, exercise and food entries you record
• Portfolio entries, saved news articles and followed topics
• Your Google account's email address, display name and profile picture

Where it is stored

In a private Cloudflare D1 database owned by the site operator, and in your own browser's local storage. Each installation uses a separate database. Data is not shared between installations, sold, rented, or used for advertising, and there is no third-party analytics or tracking on this site.

Google account access

Signing in with Google is used purely to confirm you are the authorised account holder. The app requests these permissions:

• Email address and basic profile — to confirm you are the allowed account and to show your name in the app
• Google Calendar (read) — to display your events alongside your tasks
• Google Calendar (events) — to add or update events you create in the app

Calendar data is fetched when you view your calendar and is not copied into a separate store or shared with anyone. Google access and refresh tokens are held only to keep you signed in, and are deleted when you log out or the session expires. You can revoke this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

AI features

If you press "Summarise" on a news article, the text of that public article is sent to an AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) to produce a summary. Optional assistant features send the task or project text you ask about. Your personal records are never sent automatically, and only on an action you take. These providers process the request under their own terms and BrainDock does not use your data to train any model.

Your data

You can export everything as a JSON file at any time from Settings, and restore from a previous version from the same screen. To have the data deleted entirely, contact the site operator; deletion removes the record from the database.
